Details:
An e-mail client (also mail user agent or e-mail reader) is a frontend computer program used to manage e-mail (receive, store and send messages). By installing novaPDF you can convert your e-mails into PDF files. Simply choose novaPDF as a printer, select/open the email you want to convert and once you click the Print button you’ll be asked where to save the PDF file. Having e-mails in PDF format is an advantage when sharing them with other users and certain important e-mails such as invoices can be converted into a searchable PDF file and accessed at a later time when needed.

Convert e-mails from Outlook Express to PDF files

Outlook Express is an e-mail/news client that was included for free with several versions of Microsoft Windows, from Windows 98 to Windows XP. novaPDF is installed as a virtual printer so you can create PDF files by simply printing to it instead of your normal printer.
To convert e-mails from Outlook Express to a PDF:

  1. Open Outlook Express and select (or open) the e-mail you want to convert to PDF
  2. Go to File->Print (or press Ctrl+P) and in the Select Printer section choose novaPDF
  3. Before creating the PDF file you can customize the page by adjusting novaPDF’s settings from the Properties button (adding document information, embedding fonts, adjusting page size and resolution)
  4. Click on OK and choose a location where you want the PDF file saved. After the PDF file is created, it will be automatically opened in the default PDF viewer

Convert e-mails from Microsoft Outlook to PDF files

Microsoft Office Outlook is a personal information manager from Microsoft and it is available as a part of the Microsoft Office suite. novaPDF is installed as a virtual printer so you can create PDF files by simply printing to it instead of your normal printer.
To convert e-mails from MS Outlook to a PDF:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook and select (or open) the e-mail you want to convert to PDF
  2. Go to File->Print (or press Ctrl+P) and select novaPDF in the Printer section
  3. In the Print style section you can choose between Table style, Memo style or your own defined printing style:
    a. Table style: If this is selected, a list of all the emails shown in the current view will be printed in the PDF
    b. Memo style: The content of the selected e-mail will be printed
    c. Define styles: You can define custom fonts, paper layouts and headers/footers for the selected Print style (Table style or Memo style)
  4. Before creating the PDF file you can also customize the page by adjusting novaPDF’s settings from the Properties button (page size and resolution, embedding fonts)
  5. Click on OK and choose the location where you want the PDF file saved

Convert e-mails from Windows Mail to PDF files

Windows Mail is an e-mail and newsgroup client included in Windows Vista. It is the successor to Outlook Express and it is only available for Windows Vista and Windows 7. novaPDF is installed as a virtual printer so you can create PDF files by simply printing to it instead of your normal printer.
To convert e-mails from Windows Mail to a PDF:

  1. Open Windows Mail and select (or open) the e-mail you want to convert to PDF
  2. Go to File->Print (or press Ctrl+P) and from the Select Printer section select novaPDF
  3. Before creating the PDF file you can adjust novaPDF’s settings from the Properties button (adjusting page size and resolution, adding document information, embedding fonts)

Mozilla Thunderbird is an open source, cross-platform e-mail and news client developed by the Mozilla Foundation. novaPDF is installed as a virtual printer so you can create PDF files by simply printing to it instead of your normal printer.
To convert e-mails from Mozilla Thunderbird to a PDF:

  1. Open Mozilla Thunderbird and select (or open) the e-mail you want to convert to PDF
  2. Go to File->Print (or press Ctrl+P) and in the Printer section select novaPDF
  3. Before creating the PDF file you can adjust novaPDF’s settings by using the Properties button (adjusting page size and resolution, adding document information, embedding fonts )

The Bat! is a flexible e-mail client with extensive capabilities developed by Ritlabs. novaPDF is installed as a virtual printer so you can create PDF files by simply printing to it instead of your normal printer.
To convert e-mails from The Bat! to a PDF:

  1. Open The Bat! and select (or open) the e-mail you want to convert to PDF
  2. Go to Message->Print (or press Ctrl+P) and select novaPDF from the Printer section
  3. Before creating the PDF file you can also customize the file by adjusting novaPDF’s settings from the Properties button (page size and resolution, adding additional information, embedding fonts)
  4. Click on OK and choose the location where you want the PDF file saved

Convert e-mails from Eudora to PDF files

Eudora is an e-mail client used on the Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows operating systems. It also supports several palmtop computing platforms, including Newton and the Palm OS. novaPDF is installed as a virtual printer so you can create PDF files by simply printing to it instead of your normal printer.
To convert e-mails from Eudora to a PDF:

  1. Open Eudora and select (or open) the e-mail you want to convert to PDF
  2. Go to File->Print (or press Ctrl+P) and choose novaPDF from the Select Printer section
  3. Before creating the PDF file you can adjust novaPDF’s settings from the Properties button
  4. Click on OK and choose a location where you want the PDF file to be saved. After the PDF is created, it will be automatically opened in the default PDF viewer

Starting with version 6, novaPDF includes a PDF merging (combining) option, so if you want to add new e-mails in an existing PDF you can use novaPDF's own merge option. This will let you print an e-mail to PDF and after that print other e-mails to the same pdf (before, after or as background/foreground for the existing PDF). Even better, you can merge content with an existing PDF from other programs too (so for instance if you want to print to the same PDF an e-mail, a Word document , an Excel worksheet and a PowerPoint presentation, you can use novaPDF's merge/combine/overlay option to do so).
