When printing a PDF from Adobe Reader, the printed information is shrinked

If you want to print a PDF that was created with novaPDF from Adobe Reader, you might notice that the resulting printed information (text, images) is scaled down compared to the original PDF. This happens because by default, when Adobe Reader is installed, a setting is selected to Shrink to Printable Area. In order to have on the printed material the exact size of the printed information as it is in the PDF, you will have to change the above mentioned setting.

To do so, open the PDF in Adobe Reader and follow these steps:

  • Go to File->Print (or press Ctrl+P) to open the printing dialog
  • On the Print page go to the Page Scaling section and select None using the drop-down (by default Shrink to Printable Area should be selected)
  • Now click on Print to have the document actually printed without scaling it
