Definition: .dwg is a file extension for the AutoCAD Drawing Database file. dwg to pdf refers to the process of converting an AutoCAD Drawing document to a PDF file. For the conversion to take place, AutoCAD (or a viewer such as Autodesk DWG TrueView) needs to be installed along with a PDF printer driver such as novaPDF. Converting the .dwg file to a pdf one is done by opening the file in AutoCAD (or an Autodesk viewer), going to File->Print, selecting as a printer the virtual PDF printer (i.e. novaPDF) and clicking on Print. Once the conversion is finished, you can choose where to save the PDF file.
