.lit is a proprietary filename extension for Microsoft Reader e-books. You cannot convert a lit to pdf directly from Microsoft Reader using novaPDF, because the .lit file format requires Microsoft Reader to open it and even if the Ms Reader program is free, it does not provide a Print function (due to security restrictions). So this is not a limitation of novaPDF, but rather a restriction imposed by Microsoft Reader because if you cannot print lit files, you cannot send them to novaPDF to convert lit to pdf.

However, there are several tools that let you convert lit files to open formats, and once you convert lit to a different format you can print that to novaPDF and have your PDF file created. ConvertLIT is such a tool and you can download it here: ConvertLIT GUI . What it does is converting lit to htm, and once you have the .htm file you can convert it to PDF using novaPDF.

After you download and install ConvertLIT, these are the steps you need to follow to convert lit to PDF files:

  • Open ConvertLIT GUI, select the lit  file you want to convert by going to the Extract tab and click on Select .lit file(s).
  • Either click on Use input folder as output folder or click on Select output folder to choose where the converted lit file will be saved
  • When you press the Extract button, ConvertLIT GUI will convert lit to a .htm file and save it in the folder you specified
  • After the .lit conversion is finished, open the resulted .htm file with your browser and convert it to a PDF with novaPDF as described here: Convert a web page to PDF

This tutorial shows how to convert lit to PDF, if you have any suggestions leave a comment or rate it.
